Tegernsee Valley is located in Upper Bavaria, only 30 miles southeast of Munich and one hour by car from Munich Airport. High-speed ICE trains call in Munich from where regional connections serve the Tegernsee area.
Tegernsee Valley offers altogether more than 60 meeting and conference rooms as well as 600 rooms in four and five star hotels. Local service providers are committed to sustainability and green meeting principles, and the area‘s first-class gastronomy deserves a special mention, too, with four Michelin-starred restaurants in total, including the only 3-star one in Bavaria.
The shores of Lake Tegernsee are also home to the largest events centre in the Bavarian Alps, the Bachmair Weissach Arena for up to 1,100 people. It is part of the legendary Hotel Bachmair Weissach in Rottach-Egern, a beautiful property set in a park with mountain views. Apart from the arena which can, for instance, be used for trade shows, exhibitions, product presentations and other events, the hotel offers another 17 state-of-the art event spaces of different sizes for meetings and conferences, some cosy Bavarian restaurants as well as modern dining options,146 rooms and suites plus luxury spa facilities.
Only a few miles further north, the Wandelhalle for up to 960 people is another unique venue and located in Bad Wiessee, a spa town famous for its natural iodine-sulphur springs. The listed 1930ies building is elegant and spacious, equipped with modern technology and offers a variety of options for conferences, seminars, functions or incentive events. Plus, a beautfiul terrace all along the building looking onto a park and to Lake Tegernsee.

In, on and around Lake Tegernsee, it’s all about the great outdoors: Depending on the season, the range of activities includes anything from downhill and cross country sking, winter walks, tobogganing, snowshoeing, ice skating or romantic sleigh rides to swimming in the lake’s crysal clear water, sailing, diving, boat tours, hiking, climbing, paragliding, golfing and horse riding.
For something different, try the area’s first coffee roasters-cum-café offering not only a stunning array of coffees but also coffee tasting workshops. Also, don’t miss stopping by the Tegernseer Bräustüberl tavern for some homebrew beer and typical Bavarian delicacies and the local Liedschreiber distillery to sample fine fruit liqueurs and brandies.
